Wei Xin Yuan is an experienced Software Engineer with over 8 years of relevant experience in the tech industry. Currently working at freewheel, Wei was brought onboard at Beeswax, an adtech startup founded by Google alumni, prior to its successful exit via acquisition by the FreeWheel division of Comcast in 2021. Wei's expertise lies in stabilizing, enhancing, and optimizing the cost, performance, and functionality of the latency-sensitive serving/bidding core of a product, using C++ and Python. He took over and led the forecasting project, unblocking the team by facilitating major technical decisions and working with stakeholders to solidify the project scope. Wei completed the migration to version 2 of the data pipeline used to refresh user identity signals exposed to the bidding system, resulting in significant cost savings and tighter SLA. Before joining freewheel, Wei worked as a Software Engineer at Jet.com, where he was responsible for designing and implementing the inventory system and leading the effort to integrate with Walmart's inventory system post-acquisition. Prior to that, he worked on the backend-systems of Amazon e-commerce responsible for inventory planning and replenishment. Wei holds a Master of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Cornell University, where he also completed his Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science. His technical skills include Software Engineering, Python, and Backend development. Wei's experience in optimizing the functionality and performance of latency-sensitive systems, coupled with his expertise in project management and technical decision-making, make him a valuable asset to any organization in the tech industry.
